When it comes to sex, sexuality, and our sexual self in general, we receive very little (or no) education. This forces us adults to take responsibility for our own sexual education. Where to start? There are many options. You can attend seminars, watch *accurate* TicTocs, read well-researched Instagram posts, work with a sex therapist… And, of course, read books!
As a sex therapist and educator, I often suggest that people borrow books to read and then come to the process and discuss them in a session or even instead of a meeting. The New Male Sexuality, Revised Edition
Originally published in 1992, this book is still one of the best books on men and sexuality. The author spent 20 years as a psychologist specializing in human sexuality and shares much of his knowledge in this book.
